Water Rocket Kits

So I'll go to college in the fall to major in aerospace engineering. It's pretty much rocket science. I am a good gift for my parents to get my kit for Christmas is a buildign rocket.

Does anyone know a place where I can buy a kit actual construction of the rocket? I'm not interested in these childish rockets powered by water pressure and what not. I want to be able to buy a kit that will allow me to build a real life rocket powered by a hazardous chemical such as gasoline.

I want the severe form of the kit rockets if it exists and not a rocket electric helicopter.

I think a good way to enter it is to join a club of model rockets. They can teach you how to build and run (safely) sophisticated rockets. Link below.

In addition, many types aerospace meet this hobby - it's a good chance to rub shoulders with some real rocket scientists!

Consider watching "October Sky", and double the detail these guys went to.

You can start with retail fireworks engines, and design your own body checking Estesrockets.com etc.
