Space Heater Comparison

Space Heater ComparisonIs the installation of a baseboard need a lot of work?

And to warm a room 11x11 right? I currently have a central air / heat, but my room is still freezing. My family does not heat unless absolutely necessary (to reduce heating costs). Will it be a less expensive, and it will be strong relative to a furnace?
Thank you!

We is a difficult question, but let me first get a clear ...

A 220 Volt (wire) radiator is more efficient than a mobile ceramic (120 volts) than that plugs into the wall. It may be cheaper to buy one of these heaters 120 volts in advance, but they can run electric meter like a top. If you really want electric heating in your room, contact an electrician for a quote for the installation of a line of 220 volts in your room. It would be cheaper in the long term than using one of these plug in radiators.

To answer your other question, the two types (baseboards and ceramic) would heat up your room very well in a short period of time.

In terms of security, a heater is safer, but you must keep the curtain from them.

HOWEVER, you say that your house has central HVAC. If it works on oil or gas, which is probably much more efficient than electric heating of any kind. If I were you, I would simply turn the thermostat a bit. It can use a little oil or gas, but both are much cheaper than electricity in most areas.

Hope this helps.

baseboards are not effective, they will launch a large amount of heat, assuming that you install a water heater 220 volt base map. How ever you will see that they run a lot.

I would recommend a ceramic heater. You can also save on having to run the wiring base board heaters.

If the room is unusually cold and a heater will probably not cut it .....

It will not be a cheaper solution if you have to run for new wiring, which is more likely, since you do not already have electric baseboard heat. Yes, baseboard heaters are safer than electric heaters element, but probably similar to those of oil-filled radiator with the exception of those having the cord exposed as another potential danger.

A heat-permanent? Yes, probably expensive to install, not very expensive to use. Less expensive to purchase would be good quality "Ceramic heater, maybe a little less electricity to operate. Other choices are the "oil-filled jobs that look like a steam radiator to the former, or the largest infrared type that looks like a flat screen TV weird. Both are absolutely quiet, no fans, working on the principle of radiant heat.
