What kind of skis should I buy (<$ 350) as an advanced skier who likes to close the powder, but the skis in all conditions? I LOVE Salomon Pocket Rockets after discharge fees (grin) but I found they are unstable at high speed on a packed field. There skis out there that will really let me float and have fun on the powder, but I can take days less spectacular too?
By definition, a powder ski will not be good in ALL conditions. They are valid wider and more flexible in the tip and tail to help float. The precise opposite of a good, all mountain ski, which is narrower and has a slightly stiffer tail for power transmission.
I just bought a used pair of Salomon X-screams in your price range that seem to manage ok pow ... but I'm Fat Boys always very deep, and they are great on the runway and crud and all other fun activities.
But yes, your Pocket Rockets - twins, right? - Will be great in the powder, but not on the grooms.
Pocket Rockets are fine at high speed if you're a good skier. I CNA linear things about them and they work well. Go to PocketRocket if you like powder. Report Abuse
If you are looking to buy online try skiing "in Article www.shopallstoresonline.com bargains - great site together too.
Believe it or not Blizzard is a great ski and they are cheap. See your local ski shop. DO NOT store a "super sport" Their help is uneducated and the product is the factory stuff second hand, they will not sell to a ski store.
Good luck, let us know what you buy:)
