Radiant Space Heater

I work third shift work and sleep during the day. With winter coming and the high cost of natural gas to heat my apt. I was wondering what would be better to heat my room while I sleep so I can turn my central heating to a minimum. A convection type heater or a type of radiation? My room is about 15 feet by 15 feet room. What should I expect power? I watched the oil-filled radiator type.

I prefer radiant with fans, as they distribute heat. They all have the same operating cost.
