Well first of all it depends on what the Xbox 360 that you want to buy.
Xbox 360 Arcade: about $ 200. DO NOT include a hard disk. Primarily for arcade games and games not available online.
Xbox 360 Pro: Around $ 350. Includes a 20 GB external hard drive. It is what I have and that works well for me. It comes with a wireless headset and not a controller and a cord to play online if you do not have a wireless adapter. The arcade also comes with these things.
Xbox 360 Elite: Approximately $ 400 - $ 450. Includes 120 GB external hard drive. Mainly to save games onto the hard disk. Also, for lots of multimedia such as movies and music. It is black instead of white as the other 2 consoles.
Your games will cost about $ 60 per game, except for some of the oldest as Saints Row and Bully. You can buy these games used for less expensive or even new versions cost about 30 maybe. Rock Band 1 and 2? Well, if you want to assume both about 120 for 2 and 40 for the first game.
And I suggest that Gears of War 1 and 2 to add to your list.
