Why do the images of Phoenix Mars such low resolution - where are the originals? The two official websites pictures 1024 or less. I guess the original images are many mega pixels. Is there a site available where mere mortals can view the original images companies in all their glory (and color if applicable)?

The imager has a 1024x1024 pixel detector. This mission is on the chemical analysis of soil, no high resolution images.
Actually no. Due to bandwidth problems, most images are in grayscale and not so high in quality.
All photos NASA boats are in low resolution because the point overall mission is to collect samples for analysis in a laboratory somewhere not to give the photos public. give the photos to the public is just a good thing they do not point
