| MarketplaceNasa Kids Club Games Rafferty Pendery - Exploring Business Success Rafferty Pendery I recently interviewed as part of a series of articles that I am on young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Pendery is the CEO and founder of two successful, fast growing companies. In 2006, he started the 98th Street Clothing Company and in 2007 he began to Studio98, a web design and development. In previous articles, I explored his two very successful. In this article I want to know how Mr. Pendery spends his time when not wearing his CEO hat.
Q: "Mr. Pendery when you are able to leave the office for a while, what would you do to relax?
A: "Actually, I have many other interests besides my business ventures. I play drums, flying small aircraft, crew of hot air balloons, skydiving and recently I made lots of scuba diving. I am also active on projects for my application at Club explorer. "
Q: I heard about the Explorer Club. It is a very prestigious organization. Tell me more about this organization.
A: "I wanted to be a member of the Explorer's Club since I was a little child. A large number of heroes that I grew up were members of that organization. Explorer's Club is a professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration and the ideal it is essential to preserve the instinct to explore. The club's mission is to promote scientific exploration of land, sea, air and space. To become a member you must perform or assist in scientific expeditions to explore unknown or little known destinations or phenomena in order to acquire knowledge for humanity. We must get out there and actually get your hands dirty working in one or several scientific expeditions documented. "
Q: "Why are you not satisfied to simply go sightseeing and to take cruises and tours?
A: "Being a tourist has never appealed to me. I'm not the kind of guy who likes to sit on the sidelines and watch. I prefer to actively participate in any activity I pursue. I think that's why I could never be satisfied working for someone else. I create my own game and be an active participant in this game. "
Q: "What kind of fieldwork you have done so far?"
A: "Recently I was part of an official exploration at NASA. I was the team leader for a team of hot air balloon. My mission team was to test the feasibility of making thermo graphic imaging from a lighter than air craft. We spent long hours crisscrossing the Mojave Desert in Southern California. The data we collected in this mission will be used by NASA for further research on research Life on Mars if it exists. In addition to leading the team air balloon, I was asked to design the stamp that will be given to all persons who participated in this mission. It is extremely gratifying to participate in country's efforts to gain a foothold on other planets in the interest of all mankind. "
This desire to create their own game and roll up their sleeves and dirty their hands to their dreams is a trait I find in most young entrepreneurs I've interviewed for this series.
In my next interview with Mr. Pendery I will deepen its unique business model that he used with great success in his two companies.
