What Aerogel? What is it used? How NASA used? help!
Aerogel is a pretty amazing thing. The samples I've seen really look like solid smoke. Excellent thermal properties and can be used to collect samples of the space charge.

From what I read, it is acually a gas mixed with a kind of solid, usually a gel, and basically weighs nothing and can hold up to 2,000 times the size of weight or something. .. they want to use it for insulation because it performs essentially zero heat almost, and its super light, its pretty cool stuff

He is a man very, very low density material. A cubic foot of it weighs only 8 ounces. A cubic foot of air weighs about 1 1 / 4 ounces and a cubic foot of water about 62.5 pounds. I give you these numbers just for a rough comparison. because of its appearance and very light, it is sometimes called "solid smoke".
NASA has used on satellites designed to capture microscopic particles found in space. It has the ability to capture and hold these particles without change so they can be studied on Earth.
I bet you can learn a lot simply by putting it in a Google search on the web.
