Anyone been on holiday in Fiji? We are planning a trip to Fiji. I have a Lonely Planet and do research on the different islands, but I just wanted to get additional information, you good people could have!
All great places to stay (especially islands), or what to do?
We are not a tight budget. My ears are sensitive, so no diving, but we can snorkel and we enjoy other sports like paragliding and hiking. We also relax on the beach. Would like to see turtles, if possible.
Thank you for everything you want to share!
Have been to Fiji a couple of times. Do not stay on Denarau - it is artificial, tourist, has a range of shit and you can not dive right on the beach. If you have a big budget, I can personally recommend Turtle Island and Likuliku. Want to look in a mini-cruise stopping at different islands. With the smaller boats that you just jump in a kayak, paddle ashore and go exploring. Try googling veil "Fiji". You can dive right on the beach with a lot of Fiji (good coral and lots of fish). Fijians are really nice people - friendly, relaxed and simple. There are many stations torque if you do not have children or do not want kids around. You might be very happy to see a turtle. I'm sure you'll have a good time regardless.
