Kennedy Space Center Tours

Kennedy Space Center ToursHow long does it take to tour the Kennedy Space Center?

Go to Orlando next month for 4 night cruise and 4 days at WDW. We try to find a way to fit into KSC in our calendar, but we do not really have a day off. Can this be done in 2-3 hours? What would you recommend? Is it worth the price of entry?

You really need at least half a day to see everything. Space travel is not one of my top interests, but KSC is actually a really cool place. In 2-3 hours you could probably see most of the exhibits in the buildings and the garden arugula. However, there is an IMAX there, a simulator of the space shuttle launch and a tour bus that takes you two hours where civilians are generally not allowed to go see things like the launch sites and where they make parts of the space station, etc.

It is very much worth the price of entry. If you're there, in the latter part of the afternoon, they generally have a short conference in one of the buildings. An American astronaut is there to talk about what it means to make a shuttle mission. That alone is worth it. They have a shuttle simulator, which is impressive. KSC is probably one of the best kept secrets in Florida.

I've never been there, but my husband is gone when he was in Florida for a business trip. He says there is enough room to see take a whole day or more. He loved it!
