Tea Party people rail against unnecessary government spending, but when the government decides to stop the space shuttle program, they complain that jobs will be lost.

It is funny. I thought they said he was not the work of governments to engage in free markets and jobs and things, if you can not find a job you're a loser, and if you can not do without government help you as the devil and the government should reduce spending. All because he is not the job of governments to make jobs.

They are not really against big government, they are against the government to help minorities, such as Ted Kennedy's car has just reminded ... This is actually a group of racists, not people against the government.

Space exploration is just a waste of money.

with enormous costs in wateful trillion, which has done nothing for America, they are crazy. and when you threaten to take NASA, perhaps one of the largest gov't agencies in the history of man kind (we land on the moon) something that made America the greatest country in the world, angry people. that in those days did our intrepid "brother" prez. What a doosh realized he was, and did a complete 180 on his plans for NASA.

Perhaps because the government decides to cut in areas they do not agree with - the rights are unnecessary aways left alone. But NASA employs many people. A LOT.

Space is the future. Take something else. NASA's budget is not much compared to everything else.

This is the classic example of what we face. Many agree that we must reduce spending. But too many people are not willing to have their benefits cut! This is why even the "fiscally responsible" does not cut the pork. They know that if they do not bring home the bacon, they will not win the next election.

Well, 7,000 jobs will be lost when the shuttle program ends.

Because space is cold, to give people health care is not. I like the new direction of NASA, we've already been to the moon, lets go further.
