Do space electric heaters to be placed on the same amount of heat? I have recently been buying electric heaters at Walmart. I find they range in price from $ 14 - $ 60. All heaters were 1500 watts regardless of brand or size of the device. As they are every 1500 watts they put the same amount of heat? Can I get the same heat of a radiator for $ 14 I could get say a $ 40?
In principle yes. The difference lies in the bells and whistles on the radiator. For example, I have one that is controlled by a thermostat which means it will only come when the ambient temperature falls below a certain level and then only put 1500 watts. I have another one that offers a security feature that if the heater is accidentally knocked it off and not continue to run. I have one that turns the heat without turning the heating world. They all still provide the same power, but they have different characteristics or BTUs increased or decreased the level of prices.
What you want to see is how many BTU unit is the higher the number the more heat you get,,, medium BTU (British thermal unit), it is a measure heat ... SO $ 14 or $ 60 depends on the quality you want ... hope this helped you ...
