Topic: Creating a new, modern, Boundary Less World of Computer Networks Domain names are essentially the identity of a website in the virtual world of the Internet. It is similar to the names given to each of us, for identification. The only difference is that two people can have the same name, but two sites can never be identical domain names. Domain names are used in various ways, for identification, reference, uniform resource locators and they also appear after the '@' sign in an e-mail.
The appointment of a domain name is the method of DNS. The DNS confers a unique name to a domain after the customary domain registration. The process of domain registration is done by clerks. These offices are authorized and approved by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). ICANN is responsible for overseeing the process of distribution of domain names and numbers for the Internet.
Domain registration is usually for a specific period of time. In general, the domain registration period varies between one and ten years. The domain registration period may be extended at any point of time before the end of the grace period.
The domain name registration system is an international process involving all countries of the world. Once the domain is registered under the registration system of domain name, the name can be changed. Well, some may sell their domain to another, but again the second part is to get the domain name registered under his name in the registration system of domain name.
In recent years, the entire process of registering the domain name has been simplified. With this simplification, we see many new domain spaces are bought and sold on the world market and the domain has become a big business. Many individuals and companies large and small are coming forward to get their own domain space and to reach out to the world by developing their own websites.
