Business Space For Rent

Business Space For RentCan I rent the owner of the business area requires me to give notice 60 days after my lease expires?

I am currently renting an office suite in Florida and am looking to relocate. I informed the director of property now I would be looking for from January, and was informed that I must give 60 days notice. That was never said to me, or said during the signing of the lease. The lease expires on 12/31/2008. What are the legal consequences if I decide to go to 1/1/2009? Can they take me to court or to keep me safe, even if the lease ends?

is for you to read the terms of your lease at the time of signature, which is why it is always advisable to have a realtor who specializes in commercial leasing, to help you hire .

Some leases have an 'roll over', so if you have not formally given notice to end your lease, it is automatically assumed that you will extend your lease. Usually, this would be a "+" on your agreement, like a 5, meaning that you originally leased for 5 years, but there is an option for another year. If you do not give 60 days notice (or other) before the end of five years, you are automatically switched into added time remaining.

* Any * in the business world requires advanced written notice, and as a businessman, you'd better read all contracts and deal with anything in writing anyway.

If you leave before the end, you may be responsible for any remaining time on the lease, which could be 60 days (the time a written notice) or the time remaining on your "+". It is difficult to say on the Internet, especially when it seems you do not understand anyway. They can bring you ideed the court, or to refuse safely, depending on your contractual obligations.

We need to know if she was in the lease. If she was there, even if they did not notice, then yes, you need to give these 60 days. Even if it expires on 12/31/2008.
