I am currently renting an office suite in Florida and am looking to relocate. I informed the director of property now I would be looking for from January, and was informed that I must give 60 days notice. That was never said to me, or said during the signing of the lease. The lease expires on 12/31/2008. What are the legal consequences if I decide to go to 1/1/2009? Can they take me to court or to keep me safe, even if the lease ends?
